Our Goals

Connection: To create a community connection and an empowering food security hub for the local community to address local issues.

Provision: To create a sustainable local community that provides access to affordable, safe, nutritious kai.

Facilitation: Education and resources to increase the food security and food sovereignty of the people of Ōtūmoetai.

Our Values
We embrace the values expressed in Mana Kai Mana Ora Western Bay of Plenty food security and sovereignty plan.

1. Collectively and individually we seek to embrace Manaakitanga where people and resources are cared for and valued.

2. Together we are stronger. Everyone has something to bring to the table by together living out Kotahitanga, we embrace loving unity and togetherness.

3. Encouraging, empowering- resourcing people to exercise Rangatiratanga to provide for their whanau and community.

We are intentionally building healthy long lasting relationships with our local Iwi and tangata whenua in the spirit of Te Tiriti O Waitangi partnership walking alongside each other, respecting, sharing and learning from each other.
